Number Of Ingredients 6

5 small Thai basil leaves, plus 1 Thai basil sprig
1/2 ounce fresh orange juice
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce Simple Syrup
Ice
2 ounces Hibiscus Vodka

Steps:

  • In a cocktail shaker, muddle the basil leaves with the orange and lime juices and the Simple Syrup. Add ice and the Hibiscus Vodka and shake well. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass and garnish with the basil sprig.

Here's how to make a Roselle jam with freshly plucked Hibiscus flowers. It's very easy to make. It just requires a bit of time to wash, peel, boil and stir. Altogether it's right around 1 to 2 hours max, to completion.

1 tsp sea salt
5 tbsp organic honey
1 pound Hibiscus flower (freshly peeled)

Steps:

  • Peel the flowers
  • Boil the Hibiscus petals
  • Add a little bit of salt, and stir every so often for almost 1 hour
  • Wait until it condenses before adding in the sweetener
  • Stir over medium heat a bit longer if needed, until it's no longer liquid-y.
