2 cups water
2 tbsp dried elderberry
1/2 tbsp maple syrup (use stevia for sugar free option)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a large sauce pan and bring to a simmer
  • Simmer 20-30 minutes 
  • Allow to set for  3~6 hours in order to bring out the beneficial properties of the elderberries
  • Pour over ice or chill in refrigerator for ice tea

Steps:

  • Bring a pot of water to boil over the stove.
  • Depending on how strong you want your tea, add tea bags (black or green) to the water.
  • Allow the tea to steep for 4-6 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool.
  • Place the tea in the refrigerator and serve over ice.
