1 lb ground beef
1 lb hot pork sausage
1 small onion, finely diced
1 (16 ounce) package Velveeta cheese
cayenne pepper
red pepper flakes
1 loaf sliced rye cocktail bread

Steps:

  • brown hamburger, sausage and onion.
  • Add Velveeta cheese until melted, sprinkle cayenne pepper and pepper flakes to taste.
  • Let cool completely.
  • Mound onto cocktail rye slices and bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until bubbly.

1 Bob Evans Mild Sausage Roll
1 block Velveeta Cheese
1 can Rotel

Steps:

  • Brown sausage in skillet, drain
  • Halve and Quarter the Velveeta, then dice. This helps to melt in crock pot.
  • Place Velveeta, cooked sausage and rotel in crock pot.
  • Set Crock Pot on low and let cook for about an hour.
  • Place rye bread slices on a baking sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes until crisp. Place a tablespoon of Sausage Hanky on top of the rye bread. Enjoy!
  • Serve on rye bread as a perfect appetizer for any party! (Can be left on low all day so guests can serve themselves as they please.)
