Best Cream Cheese Frosting - CakeWhiz image

Quick and easy cream cheese frosting recipe, requiring basic ingredients. Fluffy, stable, creamy and tangy. Perfect for piping cupcakes and cake decorating.

8 oz Cream cheese (Full fat)
½ cup Butter (Unsalted, Room temperature)
4 cups Powdered sugar
¼ cup Cornstarch
1 tbsp Meringue powder ((for stability))
1 tbsp Vanilla extract

Steps:

  • In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and butter.
  • Add vanilla extract and mix again.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cornstarch and meringue powder.
  • Start adding this sugar mixture (1/2 cup at a time) into the wet mixture, while continuing to mix until all the sugar is incorporated. Enjoy!
