I made this 13 years ago to take to a Thanksgiving dinner and my family has asked for it every year since. Good and easy.

Steps:
- Mix salad dressing mix double strength (using the 1/2 mayonnaise and 1/2 cup milk).
- Blend in cream cheese with mixer.
- Gently stir in cheddar cheese.
- Form into a ball (If too soft place in freezer for a hour).
- Garnish with poppy seeds, parsley, nuts, or your choice of topping.
- Serve with crackers.

Steps:
- In a medium bowl, mash and stir the softened cream cheese.
- Add the dressing mix and cheddar cheese and stir to combine well.
- Line a bowl with plastic wrap and pour cheese mixture into the bowl. Bring the plastic wrap up around the mixture and press to provide a round shape to the cheese ball.
- Refrigerate for 2 hours to firm.
- When ready to serve, remove from refigerater, remove plastic wrap and roll the cheese ball in the chopped nuts to cover.
- Place on your serving dish and surround with your favorite cracker variety.

- Place cream cheese in a medium sized mixing bowl. Use mixer to mix until both blocks are combined. Add in Ranch dip mix and mix well. Blend in shredded cheddar and 1/2 c. bacon crumbles. When mixed, use hands to form into a ball. Roll the ball into the remaining 1/2 cup bacon crumbles. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving. Serve with your favorite crackers, chips or veggies.

- In a stand mixer, beat together the cream cheese, mayonnaise, buttermilk and dressing mix. Add the Cheddar cheese and continue beating until thoroughly blended. Wrap the mixture in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes. When firm, shape the wrapped cheese mixture into a log. Spread the pecans out on a baking sheet or a piece of wax paper. Unwrap the cheese log and roll it in the nuts to coat it on all sides. Serve with crackers or bagel chips.
