1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
3 tablespoons oil
1 (10-oz.) pkg. romaine and leaf lettuce salad greens (4 cups)
1/2 cup dried cherries
2 oz. (1/2 cup) crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • In small bowl, combine vinegar, mayonnaise, mustard, salt and pepper; beat well with wire whisk. Slowly beat in oil until well blended. Cover; refrigerate until serving time.
  • Just before serving, in large bowl, toss lettuce with dressing. Divide evenly onto salad plates. Sprinkle each with cherries, cheese and walnuts.

8 cups torn mixed salad greens
1 medium red onion, halved and thinly sliced
1 cup dried tart cherries, chopped
1 cup toasted pecans, chopped
¼ cup olive oil
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon reduced-sodium soy sauce
1?½ teaspoons Dijon-style mustard
1 teaspoon honey
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Shaved Parmesan cheese (optional)

Steps:

  • In an extra-large bowl toss together mixed greens, onion, dried cherries, and pecans.
  • For dressing, in a small bowl whisk together next six ingredients (through pepper).
  • Pour dressing over greens mixture; toss to coat. If desired, top with cheese.
