ONE-CUP PANCAKES WITH BLUEBERRIES - JAMIE OLIVER

One-cup pancakes with blueberries - Jamie Oliver image

These are the simplest pancakes to make with kids. You don’t even need scales to weigh out the ingredients – all you need is a cup or a mug!

Total Time 15 minutes

Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 large free-range egg
1 cup of self-raising flour
1 cup of milk
sea salt
200 g blueberries
olive oil
4 tablespoons natural yoghurt

Steps:

    1. To make the batter, crack the egg into a large mixing bowl.
    2. Add the flour, milk and a tiny pinch of sea salt.
    3. Whisk everything together until you have a lovely, smooth batter.
    4. Fold through the blueberries, if using.
    5. Put a large frying pan on a medium heat and after a minute or so, add ½ tablespoon of oil.
    6. Carefully tilt the pan to spread the oil out evenly.
    7. Add a few ladles of batter to the pan, leaving enough space between each one so they have room to spread out slightly – each ladleful will make one pancake, and you’ll need to cook them in batches.
    8. Cook the pancakes for 1 to 2 minutes, or until little bubbles appear on the surface and the bases are golden, then use a fish slice to carefully flip them over.
    9. When the pancakes are golden on both sides, use a fish slice to transfer the pancakes to a plate.
    10. Repeat steps 5 to 9 with the remaining batter, adding ½ tablespoon of oil to the pan between batches, if needed.
    11. Serve the pancakes straight away, topped with a dollop of natural yoghurt, and some extra berries, if you like.

THREE-CUP CHICKEN RECIPE - FOOD.COM

Three-Cup Chicken Recipe - Food.com image

This is a traditional Taiwanese dish that we always order in our favorite Chinese restaurant. I begged the chef for this recipe and he very reluctantly gave it to me! I just made it for dinner tonight and couldn't wait to post this to share it with all of you!

Total Time 1 hours

Prep Time 15 minutes

Cook Time 45 minutes

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/3 cup sesame oil
20 garlic cloves, minced (yes, twenty!)
10 slices thin fresh ginger
2 serrano peppers, thinly sliced with seeds
2 lbs chicken breasts or 2 lbs chicken thigh pieces, cut up into bite-size pieces
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup rice wine
3 tablespoons sugar
2 cups Thai basil
1 cup of 1-inch sections scallion

Steps:

  • Heat up the sesame oil in a wok or a large skillet on high heat.
  • Add garlic, ginger and serrano peppers, stir fry until fragrant, about 2 minutes.
  • Add the chicken pieces and cook until it's white in color, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir together the soy sauce, rice wine and sugar in a bowl, pour over chicken.
  • Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat to low.
  • Let cook, uncovered, until sauce thickens, about 30 minutes.

REESE'S PEANUT BUTTER CUP FILLING RECIPE - FOOD.COM
Homemade recipe for the inside of Reese's cup, so you can make you own at home! [which are so much tastier!] I'd recommend using bitter sweet or milk chocolate, and using a peanut butter cup mold, which you can buy pretty cheaply at Joann's or other craft/kitchen supply stores. And if you don't have powdered sugar, you can blend regular white sugar in a coffee grinder

APPLEBEE'S ORIENTAL CHICKEN SALAD COPYCAT RECIPE | TOP ...
Menu Description: "Crisp Oriental greens topped with chunks of crunchy Chicken Fingers, toasted almonds and crispy rice noodles tossed in a light Oriental vinaigrette." Applebee's 60-item menu is revised twice a year. That means about 40 percent of the entire menu changes on a regular basis. The other 60 percent are items that are found on menus in all of the Applebee's restaurants, and seldom ever change. One item that has been on the menu for some time now is this Oriental Chicken salad, which is considered one of the restaurant's signature items. The recipe makes one dinner-size salad and can be easily doubled or quadrupled for additional servings. This recipe comes from the third book, Top Secret Restaurant Recipes, but the dressing has been improved to more closely match the current dressing served at the restaurant. Want more Applebee's? See if I hacked your favorites here.

OLIVE GARDEN PASTA E FAGIOLI RECIPE | TOP SECRET RECIPES
Menu Description: "White and red beans, ground beef, tomatoes and pasta in a savory broth." It's amazing how many lousy clone recipes for this delicious chili-like soup are floating around. Cooking message boards, and questionable sites that claim to have "actual restaurant recipes" have for years passed off numerous versions that disappoint home chefs. Other formulas leave out major ingredients that you can clearly see in the real thing, like the carrots, or ground beef, or two kinds of beans. Others don't even get the pasta right—it's clearly ditalini pasta, which are short little tubes. If you want the taste of Olive Garden's famous Pasta e Fagioli at home, this may be the only recipe that will live up to a side-by-side taste test. Beware of imitation imitations!
