I was skeptical on this one since I was going to be gone so long the day I made it but it was fantastic, even cooking 10 hours. I served with egg noodles and green beans.

Number Of Ingredients 7

Ingredients

1 1/2 pound(s) cube steaks
1 can(s) tomato sauce 8 oz
1 can(s) stewed or diced tomatoes 14 oz.
1/2 - onion sliced
1/2 teaspoon(s) garlic
1/2 package(s) lipton onion soup mix
1/2 teaspoon(s) pepper

Steps:

Oooh this is so easy. Just lay your sliced onions at the bottom of the crock pot. Lay cube steaks on top of the onions.
Pour both cans of tomatoes on top. Then sprinkle your fresh garlic or garlic powder, pepper and Lipton Onion soup mix on top of that. Cook 8 to 10 hours on low. When you are ready to dish up, you may want to drain the meat and take the juice with 1 tsp. of cornstarch and heat up in a pan to make a thicker gravy, then add meat back to the pan.
Serve over noodles, rice or potatoes. No salt needed to this dish.

Ingredients

6 cube steaks
1 medium onion peeled and sliced into rings
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
½ soup can of water
¼ tsp black pepper

Steps:

If you can’t find cube steak in your grocery store, buy top round steaks and pound them with a meat pounder until thin.
In a medium-sized bowl combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of celery soup, ½ can of water, and pepper
Slice the onion and separate it into rings
Place a steak into the crockpot, top with the onion, then steak, onion again and so forth until all steaks are in the pot
Pour the soup mixture into the pot on top of the steaks
To finish, sprinkle the Lipton Onion Soup Mix on top of everything and cook on low for 6 hrs
