6 tbsp. fresh small chrysanthemum flowers
3 tbsp. fresh chamomile flowers
2 tbsp. chopped fresh mint, lemon verbena, or scented geranium leaves
4 c. boiling water

Steps:

  • Rinse glass or porcelain teapot with boiling water and drain well. In warmed teapot, combine chrysanthemum and chamomile flowers with mint leaves. Add the 4 cups boiling water and let stand 5 to 10 minutes to steep. To serve, strain herbal tea into cups.

I was able to purchase organic dried chrysanthemum at our local natural food store in bulk spice/herb section and in the exact quantity needed. Can be prepared hot or iced. From EatingWell.

1/4 cup(s) dried chrysanthemum
3 - lemon slices
4 cup(s) boiling water
- honey, to taste

Steps:

  • Place dried chrysanthemums and *lemon slices in a glass or ceramic pot. Add boiling water. Cover with a lid and let steep for 5 minutes. Stir in honey. Refrigerate until cold, about 3 1/2 hours. Directions state that it is not necessary to strain the tea-but I did.
  • *If preparing iced, strain the brewed tea into a pitcher, allow to cool, add the lemon slices then refrigerate.
