Healthy and super easy Chinese style lotus roots soup, the same delicious as grandma cooks.

500 g pork ribs
2 sections lotus root (around 1000g) ( , peeled and cut into large chunks)
1 thumb ginger ( , smashed)
2 tbsp. peanuts
4 L water ( ,)
2 tsp salt (, or to taste)
coriander or scallion ( , finely chopped for garnishing)

Steps:

  • Clean the ribs under running water and then soak the ribs in clean water for 30 minutes. Change the water 2 times. Drain and set aside. 
  • Rinse peanuts under running water.   Wash the lotus root and peel off the skin and cut into large chunks. Add peanuts, ginger and lotus root chunks into the stew pot. Add water in and cook a soup or bones procedure (around 40 minutes)
  • When you are ready to serve  add salt to taste and cover the lid and stand for another 10 minutes. Serve with coriander or scallion.

When the weather turns cold, stew a pot of ribs, lotus root and corn soup

300 grams Ribs
Right amount shallot
Right amount ginger
A spoonful Cooking wine
Right amount corn
Right amount carrot
Right amount Lotus root

Steps:

  • Pork ribs in cold water pot, add green onion and ginger cooking wine
  • Bleeding foam for use
  • Leave less oil in the pan, add ginger and saute, add ribs and stir fry evenly
  • Add water to a boil over high heat, change to medium heat and simmer for 20 minutes
  • Add corn, carrot, lotus root and simmer for 30 minutes
  • Add salt and pepper, ready to cook
  • The sprinkling of green onion is finished
