Store this dry cereal in a zip-top plastic bag in the freezer to keep it fresh. To make the cereal a batch at a time, add 1/2 cup dry cereal mix to 1 1/2 cups boiling water for each serving.

Number Of Ingredients 11

? cup flaxseed
1?¼ cups steel-cut (Irish) oats
? cup dried apricots, coarsely chopped
? cup dried apple, coarsely chopped
? cup dried banana chips
½ cup cracked wheat
½ cup uncooked regular grits
½ cup oat bran
? cup wheat bran
¾ teaspoon salt
13?½ cups water

Steps:

  • Place flaxseed in a spice or coffee grinder; process until coarsely ground. Combine flaxseed, oats, and remaining ingredients except water in a large bowl, stirring well to combine.
  • Bring water to a boil in a large saucepan. Add cereal; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook 2 minutes or until thick, stirring constantly. Serve immediately.

3/4 cup strawberry yogurt
2 cups Fruity Pebbles cereal
4 medium bananas, peeled and cut crosswise in half
8 wooden pop sticks

Steps:

  • Place yogurt and cereal in separate shallow bowls. Insert pop sticks through cut side of bananas. Dip bananas in yogurt, then roll in cereal to coat. Transfer to waxed paper-lined baking sheets., Freeze until firm, about 1 hour. Transfer to airtight freezer containers; seal containers and return pops to freezer.

FIBER ONE BANANA NUT MUFFINS RECIPE - FOOD.COM
These are an adult healthy banana nut muffin, definitely not a kid friendly muffin. These are very dense. I found the original recipe on cooks.com but have changed it some to suit our tastes. We keep these in the freezer and then take a couple out and put them in the microwave for about 30 seconds to defrost. Sometimes for a little more sweetness I add some dried cranberries too!
