BAKED BEANS WITH BEEF RECIPE | ALLRECIPES
This is the best baked bean recipe I've ever known. Great with any main dish but more especially with barbeque beef, pork, or chicken. The slow cooker does an amazing job with these beans.

Steps:
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion. Cook and stir until beef is browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Set aside.
- Place bacon in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels. Crumble into small pieces.
- Transfer beef-onion mixture and bacon to the slow cooker. Add all the beans, sugar, mustard, and soy sauce. Cook on Medium until flavors meld, about 4 hours.

Slow-carb diet friendly. We eat this daily. Keep it in stock. I separate this into mini food storage containers and freeze for an easy side dish to reheat when I don't have free time. Make sure to soak kidney beans the night before.

Steps:
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add onions; cook for 1 minute. Add peppers and garlic; cook until soft, about 10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, chipotle, and turmeric. Cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Drain beans and add to the pot. Pour in enough chicken broth to cover beans. Bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook, stirring every 20 minutes and adding more broth if needed, until tender, about 2 hours.
