Adapted from Semi-Homemade on Food Network, I don't want to lose it. You can use honey too, but I like the flavour of the sugar. Do not try it with milk, it really needs the heavy cream.

Prep Time 10 minutes

Cook Time 10 minutes

Yield 4 Cups, 6-8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 tablespoons butter
1 (16 ounce) bag frozen corn, defrosted
3 tablespoons white sugar
1/4 cup heavy cream

Caramelized Corn Sauté Recipe | MyRecipes image

It's hard to make fresh sweet corn taste better, but a splash of half-and-half does it by adding a nutty flavor. Milk would curdle here, but cream won't. Make sure to get all the pulp and milky juice when you cut the corn from the cob.

Provided by Jill Melton

Yield 6 servings (serving size: about 3/4 cup)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 teaspoon butter or stick margarine
6 cups fresh corn kernels (about 5 ears)
