1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
2/3 cup Land O Lakes® Butter
1 1/3 cups Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients except whipping cream in 3-quart heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 15-20 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil. Stir in whipping cream; continue cooking 1 minute. Cool 5 minutes.
  • Pour mixture into 5 (8-ounce) jars. Cool 15 minutes; cover. Store refrigerated.
  • Microwave, stirring occasionally, 30-60 seconds or until warm. Serve over ice cream.

Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until it comes to a boil. Allow it to continue to boil, without stirring, for 10 to 14 minutes. It will slowly start to darken. Tilt the pan occasionally to redistributed the mixture and keep the cooking even until it turns a deep caramel color. Remove from heat.
