Our recipe for Instant Pot® Chicken Noodle Soup makes preparing a delicious, homey soup even easier than picking up take-out. You just need 5 ingredients and this warm, comforting soup is ready in about 30 minutes. Chicken, veggies and noodles cook together in the flavorful chicken broth in the Instant Pot®. Now you can have comfort food in no time with this easy chicken soup recipe!

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 lbs boneless (skinless chicken breasts)
1 carrot (peeled and chopped (about 1/2 cup))
1 stalk celery (sliced (about 1/2 cup))
2 oz uncooked extrawide egg noodles (about 1 cup dry)
4 cups Swanson® Chicken Broth

Steps:

  • Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Add the carrot, celery, chicken, noodles and broth to a 6 quart Instant Pot®.
  • Lock the lid and close the pressure release valve. Pressure cook on High pressure, setting the timer to 5 minutes (timer will begin counting down once pressure is reached- it takes about 15 minutes). When done, press Cancel and use the quick release method to release the pressure.
  • Remove the chicken from the pot. Shred the chicken and return to the pot. Season to taste.

In our house, Mac and Cheese is a staple! (No, I don't have any kids.. it is I that loves the cheesy pasta.) Based on the reviews on the Campbell's website, this is an easy, go to, tasty recipe. What I like is that I can use whole grain pasta and low fat milk to make it much better than the boxed stuff. I have made these modifications in the listing of the recipe, but certainly use full fat milk (or.. dare I say.. cream!)/regular pasta if you wish. **Original recipe calls for 1/2 can milk and 1/2 can water but I figured Zaar wouldn't recognize that so I put about 2/3 c. It may be more accurate to use the can method.

1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
2/3 cup water, **see note in recipe description
2/3 cup low-fat milk
1 cup whole wheat pasta, (use fusilli or penne)

Steps:

  • Heat the soup, milk and water in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat to a boil.
  • Stir the pasta in the saucepan. Reduce the heat to low. Cook for 20 minutes or until the pasta is tender, stirring often.
