1 cup low-fat sour cream
½ cup buttermilk
½ teaspoon dried parsley
½ teaspoon dried chives
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon dried dill weed
¼ teaspoon onion powder

? teaspoon fresh-ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Place sour cream and buttermilk into a mixing bowl. Season with parsley, chives, garlic powder, dill, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until smooth. Cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes before serving.

2 scallions, white and green parts minced
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
3 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 garlic clove, grated
1 cup buttermilk
Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Combine everything but the buttermilk and seasoning and mix well. Whisk in the buttermilk until the dressing is smooth. Season to taste.
