One of my favorite glazes for just about anything sweet! (Cakes, coffee cakes, pies, cookies, breads, pastries, donuts, etc.!)Rich, creamy and delicious!

Yield 1 cup

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup powdered sugar, more if needed
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon very soft butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup good maple syrup, more if needed

Steps:

  • In small bowl whisk ingredients til smooth and creamy.
  • Add more powdered sugar if too thin.
  • Add more maple syrup (or heavy cream or milk) a teaspoons at a time if too thick.
  • Drizzle over just about any dessert! Especially good on cakes, coffee cakes and pastries!

An easy way to make almost any pork, poultry or salmon recipe taste better is to brush on a little maple bourbon glaze. This glaze recipe adds a nice sheen that makes any dish look like it came from the pages of a fancy cooking magazine. The flavors in the bourbon, brown sugar and maple syrup complement each other adding a little sweet and a little heat to the glaze. Glazes are one of the easiest ways to add flavor and texture to roasted and grilled dishes.

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/3 cup bourbon
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp butter

Steps:

  • Using a small saucepan and high heat melt the butter and stir in the bourbon and maple syrup.
  • Stir the glaze while it comes to boil. Once it comes to a boil, lower the heat to medium-high and let the glaze reduce for 10 minutes or until it starts to thicken.
  • Using a silicon brush, apply the glaze to the outside of whatever you’re glazing. Let the glaze set for 10 to 15 minutes between each coat.
