Asian Inspired Chili Recipe - Food.com image

A change of pace for you chili lovers. This is something I've developed over the years as a way to use up hoisin sauce. Can be made in crock pot...just throw everything in and cook on low for 6 hours. This makes very thick chili, if you like it thinner, just add water or broth.

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 17

1 onion, chopped
2 scallions, chopped

  • Pour the chile mixture into a blender, filling the pitcher no more than halfway full. Hold down the lid of the blender with a folded kitchen towel, and carefully start the blender, using a few quick pulses to get the mixture moving before leaving it on to puree.
