SIMPLE VEGAN MAPLE WALNUT BUTTER TART RECIPE
A flaky dough with sweet maple filling and crunchy walnuts, a classic butter tart made vegan. Recipe makes 8 tarts.

Steps:
- Mix dry ingredients in medium size bowl.
- Add cold water, and chunks of coconut oil (*cool preferably), mix with metal blade until crumbs are formed, mix until loose dough forms.
- Wrap in plastic wrap, set aside in fridge for at least 30 minutes before use.
- Set oven to 350F, medium rack.
- Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness, cut out glass size rounds, fit into 8 tart molds.
- Mix all tart filling ingredients together with whisk until mixed well.
- In tart shell, add 1 tbsp walnuts to each.
- Add about 3 tbsp filling in each, about 3/4 full.
- Set in oven for 23-25 minutes, until well brown on all sides and cooked.
- Cool 20 minutes until serve, wrap well to keep. Keeps up to 2 months in freezer, and 1 week well in fridge.
