Bread
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter softened
3 large Land O Lakes® Eggs
3/4 cup milk
3 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup amaretto liqueur *
1 cup maraschino cherries, chopped, well-drained
Topping
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter melted
1/3 cup sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Grease bottoms only of 5 (5 3/4x3-inch) mini loaf pans; set aside.
  • Combine 1 cup sugar and 3/4 cup butter in bowl; beat at medium speed until creamy. Add eggs; continue beating until well mixed. Add milk; beat at low speed until well mixed. Add flour, baking powder and salt; continue beating just until flour is moistened. Gently stir in amaretto liqueur and cherries. Spoon batter evenly into prepared pans.
  • Combine all topping ingredients in bowl; mix well. Sprinkle over batter.
  • Bake 35-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes in pans; remove to cooling rack. Cool completely.

3 ounces cherry Jell-O
1 cup boiling water (8 ounces)
2 ounces cold water
6 ounces Amaretto

Steps:

  • Bring water to a rolling boil, then remove from heat.
  • Stir together boiling water and powdered gelatin in a mixing bowl. Stir constantly until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  • Stir in cold water and alcohol.
  • Pour mixture into ,individual shot-size (1oz-2oz) plastic or paper cups. ****To make the Jello easier to consume, buy plastic cups that also have lids. Pour the mix into the cup, add the lid, then turn it upside down prior to refrigeration.
  • Place shots on a tray in refrigerator (not the freezer). Chill until firm (approximately 2-4 hours). Refrigerate until served.
