White Castel created a stuffing recipe around its iconic sliders that has gained popularity over the years. It makes a different kind of holiday side dish.

1.   Tear sliders into bite-sized pieces and put into a large mixing bowl. Add diced celery and seasonings. 2.   Pour in ¼ cup chicken broth and toss well. Place stuffing into the cavity of 10-12 pound turkey and roast until done. 3.   Or cook stuffing as a casserole, adding an additional ¾ cup of chicken broth; toss well. Spray or grease a 2-quart casserole dish. Transfer stuffing to the casserole dish and bake at 350 F for 35 minutes. Photo courtesy of White Castle

We couldn't stay away from White Castle sliders, so much so that we had to figure out a way to make them on our own. This recipe brings the palm-sized burger to your Thanksgiving table in the form of stuffing. 

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 6

10 white castle sliders*
1 1/2 cup diced celery
1 1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
1 1/4 teaspoon ground sage
1 1/2 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth

Steps:

  • Tear the burgers into small pieces into a large mixing bowl with the celery, thyme, sage, and black pepper; toss to combine. Add the chicken broth and toss again. Stuff the mixture into the turkey cavity just before roasting. The recipe makes about 9 cups, enough for a 10-12 pound turkey.
  • Note: Allow one White Castle slider for each pound of turkey, which will be the equivalent of ¾ cup of stuffing per pound.
