Number Of Ingredients 9

1 Ayam Kampung (800g)
2cm of Ginger, grated
2 Cloves of Garlic, grated
1.5 Teaspoon of Salt
1 Teaspoon of White Pepper
1 Tablespoon of Sesame Oil
6 Spring Onion
2 Cups of  Brown Rice
4 Cups of Water

Steps:

  • 1. Wash rice until clean and set aside
  • 2. In a bowl, add in grated ginger, garlic along with salt, pepper, sesame oil and normal oil. Marinate the whole chicken with the mixture and rub the marinate in the cavities
  • 3. Stuff the spring onion in the cavities of the chicken
  • 4. In a pot, add in the washed rice, the water then place the chicken on top and cover. Cook over low medium heat for 30 minutes or until chicken and rice is fully cooked.
  • 5. Once done, garnish with some chopped coriander leaves

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
1 cup salt
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
5 tablespoons light soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 sprigs fresh cilantro

Steps:

  • Place chicken and salt in a bowl. Evenly rub salt into chicken. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
  • Rinse chicken and place in a pot fitted with a steamer basket over water. Bring water to a boil, and steam chicken until juices run clear, about 30 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and cook until tender. Mix in garlic, and cook about 1 minute. Stir in soy sauce and sesame oil, and remove from heat. Scoop over the chicken to serve. Garnish with cilantro.
