This mix has a bit of a bite from the original, but feel free to add/delete as much of the tabasco or redpepper sauce as fits your style. Microwave instructions follow the normal baking instructions.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 250 degrees.
- In an ungreased large roasting pan, melt butter in oven.
- Stir in worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, and pepper sauce.
- Gradually stir in remaining ingredients until evenly coated.
- Bake uncovered 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Spread on paper towels to cool, about 15 minutes.
- Store in an airtight container.

- In large microwavable bowl, mix cereals, nuts, pretzels and bagel chips; set aside. In small microwavable bowl, microwave butter uncovered on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in seasonings. Pour over cereal mixture; stir until evenly coated.
- Microwave uncovered on High 5 to 6 minutes, thoroughly stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on paper towels to cool. Store in airtight container.

- Dump cereal into a large mixing bowl. Add in pretzel sticks and nuts.In a microwave-safe bowl, add remaining ingredients and microwave until butter is melted. Stir together and toss into a cereal mixture, stirring as you go.Transfer mix onto one or two baking sheets, and bake in a 250-degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool and store in an airtight container.Grab a handful every forty minutes. Eat. Spoil your appetite.

Here's the first Mrs. Fields chocolate chip cookie copycat recipe I created for the Top Secret Recipes books back in 1987. Inspired by a bogus chain-letter cookie recipe, this is my version of the delicious Mrs. Fields cookies that are crispy around the edge and chewy in the middle. Be careful not to cook these too long. I know it becomes tempting to keep cooking these—they don't seem to be done after 10 minutes—but they will continue to cook for awhile after you take them out of the oven, and when cool, will be chewy in the middle.
