FAJITA SEASONING RECIPE - REAL SIMPLE



Fajita Seasoning Recipe - Real Simple image

Whether you're making chicken, steak, or veggies, this easy fajita seasoning recipe will liven up your dinner with plenty of fresh, vibrant flavor. Make a large batch to store in your pantry, or pack up several single serving portions in airtight mason jars to give to your family and friends. You'll love making dinner into a DIY fajita station with corn tortillas and toppings like pico de gallo, sour cream, lime wedges, guacamole and tasty queso fresco.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 ½ tablespoons chili powder
2 teapoons cumin
2 teapoons paprika 
2 teapoons garlic powder
2 teapoons onion powder
2 teapoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper 

Steps:

  • Mix all the spices together in a bowl or in a jar. Store in an airtight container or use right away.

1 lb Lean Ground Beef
1/3 cup Bread Crumbs
2 tsp Ketchup
1 tsp Mustard
1 tsp Worcestershire
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp Onion Powder
2 packets Brown Gravy Mix
2 cup hot Water
1 tsp Ketchup
1/2 tsp Worcestershire

Steps:

  • Combine all pattie ingredients in a large bowl and massage with your hands until ingredients are incorporated.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook patties on both sides until no longer pink.
  • Lower temperature to low.
  • Whisk together gravy mix and water until well blended.
  • Whisk in ketchup and Worcestershire and pour over patties in skillet.
  • Allow to simmer until gravy warms and thickens.
