Air Fryer Chili Garlic Chicken Wings | Ready Set Eat image

The secret to extra crispy air-fried chicken wings? Toss them with a little cornstarch and just a spritz of PAM® Avocado Oil! Coat air fried chicken wings with a homemade chili garlic sauce for the perfect bar food at home!

Number Of Ingredients 15

2 pounds chicken wing drumettes, patted dry (about 16 drumettes)
PAM® Avocado Oil No-Stick Cooking Spray
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
2 tablespoons Hunt's® Tomato Ketchup
2 tablespoons La Choy® Soy Sauce
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon sambal oelek (red chili paste)
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Wish-bone® Ranch or Blue Cheese Dressing, optional
carrots and celery sticks, optional

Steps:

  • Place chicken wings in a large bowl. Spray wings with avocado oil spray. Sprinkle cornstarch, salt and pepper over wings and toss until well coated.
  • Heat air fryer to 350° and place wings in a single layer in air fryer basket, working in batches if needed. Cook wings until juices run clear and they are just starting to brown, 10 to 14 minutes, shaking the basket once during cooking.
  • Increase heat to 400°F. Turn wings so the skin side is facing up. Continue air frying wings, in batches if needed, until they are crispy and golden brown, 8 to 12 minutes.
  • Spray small saucepan with avocado oil spray and heat over medium-low heat. Add garlic to pan and cook until just starting to brown, 1 to 2 minutes. Stir in ketchup, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, lime juice, sambal and ginger. Bring sauce to a boil and then remove from heat.
  • Remove wings from air fryer to a large bowl. Pour sauce over wings and toss to coat. Serve chili garlic wings with ranch or blue cheese dressing and carrots and celery sticks.

24 chicken wings
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons minced green onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon curry powder
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
? teaspoon ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Combine chicken wings, vegetable oil, soy sauce, green onion, garlic, curry powder, turmeric, and black pepper in a resealable plastic bag. Squeeze out the air, seal bag, and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Spread chicken wings into a large baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until wings are browned, about 25 minutes.
