There are so many interesting ideas on how to use ramen noodles. I thought this one might be fun to play with!

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 (3 ounce) packets ramen noodles, uncooked
1 (16 ounce) bag dark chocolate chips
12 -14 drops peppermint extract
1 -2 drop spear mint extract
1 -2 drop wintergreen extract
24 lollipop sticks or 24 popcicle sticks
1/2 teaspoon butter (optional)

Steps:

  • Crush uncooked ramen noodles in a bowl to about the consistency of rice krispies. Don't crush finer or the recipe does not set. Set aside.
  • Lay out some wax paper.
  • In a saucepan or double boiler, melt your chocolate chips until then become smooth and creamy.
  • If desired add butter.
  • Slowly add mint extracts to the chocolate.
  • Stir for 1 minute.
  • Quickly pour over your crushed ramen and stir vigorously until covered completely.
  • Spoon mixture in tablespoons onto wax paper into round cookie shapes… mixture will flatten and spread considerable so leave lots of space in between.
  • Place a stick into each cookie before it hardens.
  • Let cool for about an hour.
  • Peel, and eat.
  • Cook time is cooling time.

This spicy snack mix features toasted ramen noodles, nuts, cornflakes and freeze-dried peas.

2 packages ramen, broken into small pieces (seasoning packet discarded)
1 cup raw cashews
1 cup raw peanuts
1 cup cornflakes
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
4 teaspoons curry powder
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon fine salt
1/2 cup fried or freeze-dried peas

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. On a rimmed baking sheet, toss ramen, cashews, peanuts, and cornflakes with oil until coated. Spread mixture in an even layer. Combine curry powder, cayenne, and salt; sprinkle over ramen mixture. Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes, stirring halfway through. Stir in peas and let cool completely before serving.

  • Preheat the oven 350°. In a large bowl, combine crushed ramen, goldfish, pretzels, nuts and wasabi peas. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, spices, and contents of ramen seasoning packets. Pour over the snack mix and toss until the ramen mixture is completely coated. Taste and season with salt, if necessary.  Spread mixture out in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and bake until toasted, 10 to 15 minutes. Let cool completely before serving.
