This is another great tasting family favorite, that my daughter Briana loves to make when ever she is home visiting. We love the addition of parmesan cheese. It is a great side dish any time of the year.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 can(s) 15 1/2 oz. cut green beans or french style green beans, drained
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup(s) grated parmesan cheese, ( i like to use fresh grated)
1/8 teaspoon(s) black pepper
1 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
3/4 cup(s) evaporated milk
1 1/2 cup(s) french fried onion rings

Steps:

  • Combine soup, parmesan cheese, milk pepper and worcestershire sauce in a medium size bowl. Mix well. Add drained green beans to soup mixture, and 1 cup of onion rings and stir gently to mix.
  • Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish. Bake in preheated 350 degree F. oven for 25 minutes. Then top with remaining onion rings and bake an additional 5 minutes.
  • We make this casserole all year round, we don't wait just for the holidays.

2 (14 ounce) cans green beans, drained
¾ cup dried breadcrumbs, divided
2 teaspoons dried basil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons parsley
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup Crisco® Canola Oil

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Drain beans; place in medium bowl.
  • Mix together bread crumbs, basil, thyme, oregano, parsley, garlic powder and cheese in small bowl. Add salt and pepper. Reserve 2 tablespoons for topping. Add remaining mixture and oil to green beans.
  • Transfer beans to an ovenproof dish; sprinkle with the reserved crumb mixture.
  • Bake about 30 minutes or until top is golden and crispy.
