WAFFLE RECIPE FOR ONE - SINGLE SERVING SIZE

Waffle Recipe for One - Single Serving Size image

This is the perfect waffle recipe for one! It makes just enough batter to fill a waffle iron one time, and will keep you full and satisfied all the way until lunch!

Provided by Paige Flamm

Total Time 9 minutes

Prep Time 5 minutes

Cook Time 4 minutes

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 cup + 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
2 tbsp Cornstarch
1 tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/2 cup Milk
1/2 Egg
2 tbsp Butter, melted
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

Steps:

  • Preheat your waffle iron. I always go for the highest heat setting and I've never had a waffle burn.
  • In a medium size bowl whisk together you flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt your butter.
  • In a small bowl mix together you egg, milk, butter, and vanilla.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well.
  • Pour your batter into your waffle iron, close, and cook according to your waffle iron's instructions. I let mine cook all the way until the "ready" light on my waffle iron lit.
  • You may have a small amount of batter leftover depending on the size of your waffle iron. If this happens just make one smaller waffle and then store in a baggie in the freezer until you're ready to eat it!

CRUNCHY AND LIGHT WAFFLES FOR TWO RECIPE - BREAKFAST.FOOD.COM
Reincarnated from the Frugal Gourmet's recipe, this waffle batter is made air light by the addition of a beaten egg white to produce an exceptionally crisp waffle. Best made on an older waffle iron, the teflon ones can undercook your waffles. You may need to let it continue to cook for 30 seconds even after the light goes off for a nice crunchy waffle.

CLASSIC WAFFLES RECIPE | ALLRECIPES
In comparing this recipe with other similar recipes, including the one included in the manual, this one called for twice the amount of salt, so I reduced it by half keeping all other ingredients and measurements the same, and beat the eggs well to lighten them up. The waffle was crispy on the outside, but tender on the inside, with good flavor.
