3lt maitoa (rasvaton,kevyt tai kokomaito)
2tl juuston juoksutinta
!/2tl suolaa

Steps:

  • Lämmitä maito kädenlämmöiseksi ja sekoita siihen juoksutin. Anna maidon saostua lämpimässä paikallaan 30-60 minuutin ajan. Nosta kattila takaisin lieden levylle, kun maito on hyytynyt. Kuumenna juusto 50-60 asteeseen Leikkaa saostuma veitsellä ristiin rastiin. Nosta kattila pois liedeltä, kun hera on täysin erottumut ja alkaa painua pohjaan. Jäähdytä hiukan. Kaada sitten hera pois. Laita siivilään ja lisää suola. Laita vuokaan leivinpaperi.Juusto levitä ja tasoita tasaiseksi.  Anna jäähtyä hetken kun paistat grillin yläosassa. Tai jos paistat leivinuunissa arinalla. Mikä on paras kypsentäminen. Silloin laitat juuston vuokaan. Kun se on jäähtynyt. Ota vuokasta pois ja paista uunissa kauniin ruskeaksi.

  • Line a sieve or colander with a cheesecloth, and pour the milk through the cloth to catch the curds. What is left in the cheesecloth is the Farmer's Cheese. The liquid is the whey. Some people keep the whey and drink it, but I throw it away. Gather the cloth around the cheese, and squeeze out as much of the whey as you can. Wrap in plastic, or place in an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator.
