Homemade hot fudge sauce on an ice cream sundae is a miraculously delicious thing, so much better than store bought versions. This is an amazing hot fudge sauce recipe.

Number Of Ingredients 7

8oz dark chocolate, morsels or chopped
8 Tablespoons softened butter
1/2 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup heavy cream
1/4 Cup hot water
1 teaspoon vanilla
pinch salt

Steps:

  • Combine the chocolate, butter, sugar, cream, and hot water in the top portion of a double boiler.
  • In your double boiler (formal or makeshift), melt everything but the vanilla and salt over medium-low heat.
  • Stir the whole time, until everything is nicely combined. This should take about five minutes. Remove, and stir in the vanilla and salt.
