Super great Savory Snack--Homemade five spice meat floss.

300 g pork sirloin or tenderloin
2 green onions cut into short sections
5 slices of ginger
10 Sichuan peppercorn seeds
1 star anise
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon light soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder or as needed
1 tablespoon cooking oil ( , olive oil)

Steps:

  • Wash the pork and then cut into larger chunks around 3 to 4 cm.
  • Cook them in boiling water for around 5 minutes to remove the impurities. Transfer out and wash again.
  • In high pressure cooker or a large pot, add ginger, green onion, star anise, soy sauce and Sichuan peppercorn and pork; pour enough water to cover the pork meat. Add 1 tablespoon of light soy sauce too. For high pressure cooker, cook for around 20 minutes until the pork is soft. If you use pot to simmer, simmer them for 40 minutes and add slightly more water (3 cm higher) and check the water level from time to time. Add hot water if necessary (make sure the pork is covered with water).
  • Transfer out and cool down; finely shredded by hand.

Because sometimes you want to make bread or something, you like pork floss, so I make pork floss every other time. It is very convenient to have a bread machine to make pork floss. Of course, the premise is that your bread machine has pork floss or jam. My bread maker tends to break the pork floss, so try to shorten the time next time.

400 grams pork
A few pieces ginger
1 scoop Soy sauce
1 scoop Thai sweet chili sauce
10gram salt
1 scoop Corn oil

Steps:

  • Remove the fascia fat from the lean meat and cut into 2-3 cm squares.
  • Put the meat in a pot under cold water, cut a few slices of ginger and blanch it in the water. Just cook until all the meat changes color.
  • Wash the blanched meat pieces, discharge the rice cooker, and then cut a few slices of ginger, add water that has not had the meat pieces, and cook them. It is cooked to the point where the meat can be easily opened with a stick of chopsticks.
  • Take out the cooked meat and let it dry in water. The remaining broth can be used to cook noodles or something, so don't waste it.
  • The cold meat pieces are packed in fresh-keeping bags, and they are beaten and crushed with a rolling pin to turn the meat pieces into meat strips.
  • Put the meat strips into the bucket of the bread machine, and use the mixing program to stir for a few minutes. Just watch the meat strips become thinner, and don't stir for too long.
  • Just stir it like this. Later, I thought it might have been stirred like this, so the pork floss would be so shredded.
  • Take a bowl. A spoonful of light soy sauce, a spoonful of corn oil, a little salt, and a spoonful of Thai sweet chili sauce, stir well.
  • Pour the adjusted juice into the meat and start the meat floss or jam program. Note that people must watch the status by the side. Generally, the first 15 or 20 minutes is only to bake, be careful not to bake, and use chopsticks to stir a few times every few minutes.
