1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 (17.5 oz.) cans Pillsbury Grands cinnamon rolls
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons maple syrup

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large zip-top bag, mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon.
Cut cinnamon rolls into quarters and place the pieces in the bag with the cinnamon and sugar mixture. Toss to coat well. Arrange the cinnamon roll pieces in the prepared pan.
In a medium bowl, stir together the melted butter, brown sugar and maple syrup. Pour evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Remove from oven and drizzle with the frosting from the cinnamon roll packages. Serve warm.

Refrigerated cinnamon rolls are baked in a egg, milk and cinnamon mixture to make this simple, shortcut french toast bake.

Ingredients

2 - 12-ounce tubes refrigerated cinnamon rolls, cut into quarters
1/4 - cup melted butter
3 - eggs
1/2 - cup heavy cream
3 - tablespoons maple syrup
2 - teaspoons vanilla
1 - teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 - cup chopped pecans (optional)
reserved icing

Steps:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Lightly spray a 13 x 9 inch baking pan with non stick cooking spray.
Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and add to a large mixing bowl. Add the melted butter and toss to combine.
Pour the mixture into the baking pan.
In a separate bowl combine the eggs, heavy cream or half & half, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Whisk until the ingredients are well combined and pour over the cinnamon roll pieces. Add pecans if using.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through, golden brown and the egg mixture is absorbed.
Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes, Warm the icing from the cinnamon rolls in the microwave and drizzle over the french toast bake. Drizzle with additional maple syrup if desired.
Serve immediately.

In a large bowl using a hand mixer (or in the bowl of a stand mixer), beat butter and sugar until fluffy and pale in color. Add egg, milk, and vanilla and beat until combined, then add flour mixture gradually until totally combined. Divide dough in half. On a floured surface, roll each piece of dough into a 9"-x-10" rectangle, about 1/4" thick. In small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Brush rectangles with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar mixture. Tightly roll up each rectangle into a tight log.
