COPYCAT CHICK-FIL-A CHICKEN NUGGETS RECIPE: HOW TO MAKE IT
I developed this recipe specifically to copycat Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets. The first time I made them I knew I had a winner because the whole family fought over who got the last one! For a dipping sauce, combine equal parts barbecue sauce and Dijon mustard, then stir in honey to taste. —Jeni Pittard, Statham, Georgia

- In a bowl, add chicken and pickle juice; toss to coat. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, combine the next eight ingredients to form a thick batter. Add batter to the chicken mixture and toss to coat. , Combine sauce ingredients; set aside. , In a deep skillet or electric skillet, heat 1-inch of oil to 375°. Fry chicken pieces, a few at a time, 1-2 minutes on each side or until browned and juices run clear. Drain on paper towels. Serve with sauce.

Steps:
- Heat oven to 375°F (or 350°F for nonstick cookie sheet). Separate biscuits; place 1 to 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. In small microwavable bowl, microwave 1 tablespoon of the butter uncovered on High 15 to 20 seconds or until melted. Brush tops of biscuits generously with melted butter. Allow remaining 2 tablespoons butter to soften at room temperature.
- Bake 11 to 16 minutes or until golden brown. Cover loosely with foil to keep warm.
- Bake chicken as directed on package, adjusting oven temperature as necessary.
- Split warm biscuits in half; spread split sides and biscuit tops with reserved 2 tablespoons softened butter. Place baked chicken cutlets on bottom halves of biscuits; top with remaining biscuit halves. Serve warm.
