Kettle Corn Glazed Popcorn | Just A Pinch Recipes image

I came up with this recipe for a friend that needed a way to make kettle corn out of already popped corn.

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 tablespoon(s) light corn syrup
1/2 cup(s) sugar
2 tablespoon(s) butter
1 teaspoon(s) salt
6-7 cup(s) popped corn

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200
  • In a small saucepan add corn syrup, sugar, butter and salt. Cook on med hi heat until boiling for 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.
  • Meanwhile place popcorn in a large baking dish like a lasagna pan.
  • Once syrup is done, pour over popcorn and mix with a spoon until it's spread out.
  • Bake for 15 minutes stirring every 5 minutes. Remove from oven and stir once more and let cool. Enjoy!

1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt (or use white salt) (optional)

Steps:

  • Place the oil in the bottom of a large pot.
  • Add in the unpopped popcorn kernels with the sugar and salt.
  • Over a medium heat begin to pop the popcorn, constantly shaking the pot to ensure that the popcorn kernels and oil do not burn.
  • Once the popping has slowed down remove the pot from the heat.
