- To begin, preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
- Whilst the oven heats up, line a loaf tin with greaseproof baking paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, add your butter and sugar and begin to combine with an electric mixer.
- Next, add in your egg and ensure that it is thoroughly combined with the mixture. When you’re happy, you can add in your bananas. Continue mixing until you no longer see any lumps.
- Gently sift in your flour to the wet mixture and add in the salt. Continue mixing until you are happy with the outcome.
- Now you can add any extras in this step. We recommend only adding in half at first and mixing until fully combined.
- Add your mixture into your lined loaf tin. Next you can add in the remaining half of your extra ingredients.
- Bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
- Place your banana bread onto a cooling rack and serve once fully cooled.

- Spray a 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray, or grease with oil or line with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl combine bananas, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Beat in the oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add the flour and gently mix until fully incorporated. DO NOT overmix.
- Pour the batter into the pan in an even layer.
- Bake for 30 minutes then remove from the oven and cover loosely with foil. *This prevents the crust from burning.
- Continue to bake for 15 – 20 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan 10 minutes then remove to cool completely before slicing.
