Quick Focaccia (Bridgford Frozen Bread Dough) image

1 tb fresh oregano Chopped
1 tb fresh marjoram Chopped
1 lb Frozen white bread dough
2 tb fresh basil Chopped
1/4 c Grated Parmesan cheese
1 tb fresh rosemary Chopped
1 tb olive oil
1/2 ts Garlic powder
1 c mozzarella Grated, optional

Steps:

  • "On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a 15 x 10-inch rectangle. Transfer to a 15 x 10-inch greased pan. Press dough to fit into corners. Brush with olive oil and let rise until puffy, 30 minutes to an hour. Make dimples in dough by pressing down with fingertips. Sprinkle dough with herbs, garlic powder and cheese. Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown, about 15 to 20 minutes. Bread should sound hollow when tapped. Remove to wire rack. Slice and serve warm. PER SERVING (6th): 305 calories, 12 g protein, 39 g carbohydrate, 10 g fat (4 g saturated), 17 mg cholesterol, 573 mg sodium, 2 g fiber. COMMENTS: Lorna Brown says shes been doing this for years. She simply pushes thawed dough onto a greased sheet cake pan, lets it rest a few minutes, then stretches it again to fit the pan. She makes dents with her knuckles and either presses fresh herbs into those dents before spreading 2 tablespoons olive oil over the dough; or spreads the oil first, then sprinkles on dried or granulated herbs of choice. I love using frozen bread dough in recipes. This recipes came from Bridgeford Frozen Bread Loaves. These are wonderful little appetizers.

Yield 30 rolls

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 loaf bridgford frozen ready bread dough, thawed
1 cup pepperoni, finely diced
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1 (2 1/4 ounce) can black olives, drained,sliced
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to a 10 x 15 inch rectangle.
  • Set aside.
  • In a medium size bowl, mix together cream cheese and Parmesan.
  • Add Bridgford, Pepperoni, olives, onion and garlic.
  • Mix well.
  • Spread evenly over dough.
  • Roll up dough tightly in jelly-roll fashion.
  • Seal seams and edges.
  • Cut roll into 30, 1/2 inch slices.
  • Place slices swirl-side up on greased baking sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 12-15 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and pan to cool on wire rack.
