1 -1 1/2 lb chicken tenders
3/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon liquid smoke
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon margarine
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon mustard
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
6 split sandwich buns

Steps:

  • Combine chicken tenders, ketchup, liquid smoke, soy sauce, margarine, brown sugar, mustard, bell pepper and onion in the slow cooker or crock pot.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.
  • Serve chicken tenders on sandwich buns or serve with hot cooked rice.

Smokey barbecue flavor for an easy chicken tender.

1/2 cup smoky barbecue sauce
1 cup Progresso™ plain panko crispy bread crumbs
1 package (14 oz) uncooked chicken tenders (not breaded)
Additional barbecue sauce, if desired

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray large cookie sheet with cooking spray.
  • In shallow bowl, place 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. In large resealable food-storage plastic bag, place bread crumbs. Dip chicken into barbecue sauce. Place in bread crumb bag; seal and shake to coat. Place chicken on cookie sheet.
  • Bake 15 to 20 minutes, turning once, until chicken is no longer pink in center and bread crumbs are golden brown. Serve with additional barbecue sauce.
