Steps:
- Mix butter, sugar, and vanilla. Beat in eggs till well blended. Stir in flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Blend well.
- Reserve 2 cups of batter, set aside
- Grease 13x9x2 inch pan. Spread remaining batter in prepared pan. Arrange peppermint patties in a single layer over batter about 1/2 inch apart.
- Spread reserved 2 cups batter over patties. Bake 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 50-55 minutes till brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Enjoy!!!

Turn our chocolate chip cookie dough into a minty chocolate treat filled with peppermint patties.

- Heat oven to 350°F. Let cookie dough stand at room temperature 10 minutes to soften.
- In large bowl, break up cookie dough. Add cocoa, flour and whipping cream; stir with spoon or mix with hands until well blended. (DO NOT EAT RAW COOKIE DOUGH AFTER COMBINING WITH FLOUR.)
- Shape 1 tablespoonful dough around each peppermint patty, making sure patty is completely covered. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until edges are set. Cool 3 minutes; remove from cookie sheets to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 20 minutes.
- Spread each cookie with heaping 1 teaspoonful frosting; sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies.

- Preheat oven to 350° and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl, whisk together cake mix and baking powder; in another bowl, whisk together eggs and oil. Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until fully combined. Using your hands, form small balls of dough. Flatten a ball, then place a Peppermint Patty in the center and fold dough over to completely cover. Transfer to baking sheet and repeat with remaining dough (you should have enough for about 14 cookies). Top with sprinkles and bake until cooked through, 8 to 10 minutes. Let cool slightly on baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack to let cool completely.

One item that contributes to those impressive sales figures are these little brown sugar/cinnamon-topped cakes, which have become a popular addition to the Dolly Madison line of baked goods since the late eighties. We can easily create a low-fat home clone of the real thing with only seven ingredients, thanks to white cake mix that can be found in practically all stores. Notice that the cake mix is not a reduced-fat variety. That's not necessary for the recipe to produce little cakes that taste just like the real thing, but still have less than one-third the fat. And even though the original is sort of square-shaped, we'll use a couple of 12-cup muffin pans to simplify the process. The shape will be different, but the flavor will be right on.
