Steps:
- For mint simple syrup, combine sugar, water and mint sprigs in small saucepan and heat while stirring regularly until sugar is dissolved. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat and let cool to room temperature. Then remove mint sprigs.
- To make a cocktail, add 1 ounce mint simple syrup, lemon juice and bourbon whiskey to a shaker glass with lots of ice. Shake to chill.
- Strain drink into a cold glass with fresh ice and garnish with orange slice, cherry and fresh mint.
