Total Time 900S

Yield 10

Number Of Ingredients 2

200 gram Dark Chocolate
10 Cinnamon Stick

Steps:

  • Use the double boiler method to best melt the Dark Chocolate (200 gram). If you don’t actually have a double boiler, bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil. Place chocolate in a slightly smaller saucepan and hold it over the boiling water, being sure not to touch the bottom of the pan with the chocolate to the boiling water. Stir chocolate constantly until ¾ of it has melted. Remove from heat and continue stirring until the rest is melted.
  • Prepare a parchment paper lined plate of board (one that will fit in your freezer or fridge).
  • Dip 1 to 2 inches (2.5 to 5 cm) of each Cinnamon Stick (10) into the chocolate. Let excess drip off then set on the prepared plate. Repeat for each cinnamon stick, then place the plate in the freezer or fridge for about 10 minutes, or until chocolate is hardened.
  • If you still have chocolate and are feeling up for it, double dip your cinnamon sticks into the chocolate, repeating step 3 above. Stir into coffee and enjoy!

Total Time 1500S

Yield 6

Number Of Ingredients 8

750 milliliter Red Wine
2 Orange
3 tablespoon Honey
1 tablespoon Ginger Paste
2 Cinnamon Stick
6 Whole Clove
1 piece Star Anise
6 splash Brandy

Steps:

  • Add the Red Wine (750 milliliter), Honey (3 tablespoon), Orange (1), Ginger Paste (1 tablespoon), Cinnamon Stick (2), Whole Clove (6), and Star Anise (1 piece) to a heavy-bottomed pot or saucepan. Stir to combine and heat over medium-high until steaming, do not let it bubble.
  • Lower heat to medium and heat for 20 minutes. You can keep it here for up to 3 hours, but keep the heat low to avoid boiling the mixture. Mash the oranges lightly with a wooden spoon to release their juice.
  • Ladle into heatproof mugs and top each mug with 1-2 Tbsp of Brandy (6 splash).
  • Garnish with a cinnamon stick, a piece of star anise, and an Orange (1), then serve warm.
