Ingredients

1 bag (10 ounces) ready-to-eat mixed salad greens (6 cups)
8 medium radishes, thinly sliced
5 medium green onions, thinly sliced (5 tablespoons)
2 medium celery stalks, thinly sliced (1 cup)
12 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled
1 package (10 ounces) frozen green peas, thawed
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise or salad dressing
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese or grated Parmesan cheese (2 ounces)

Steps:

Place salad greens in large salad bowl. Layer radishes, onions, celery, bacon and peas on salad greens.
Spread mayonnaise over peas, covering top completely and sealing to edge of bowl. Sprinkle with cheese.
Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours to blend flavors but no longer than 12 hours. Just before serving, toss if desired. Store covered in refrigerator.

A simple (and seven layer!) salad recipe that you can easily customize to taste with ingredients you have in your fridge, including fresh herbs and cheese.

Ingredients

2 heads iceberg lettuce, chopped
8 oz. fluid baby spinach, washed and dried
Salt and pepper, to taste
8 whole hard boiled eggs, chopped
16 oz. bacon, cooked and chopped
4 whole tomatoes, chopped
1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
8 oz. cheddar cheese, grated
1 10-ounce bag of frozen peas, partially thawed
1/2 c. mayonnaise
1/2 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. sugar (more to taste)
Chopped fresh dill, for topping

Steps:

In a clear glass bowl, layer the salad ingredients in order starting with the lettuce, concentrating the ingredients around the perimeter of the bowl and filling in the center with lettuce, if needed. End with the layer of peas. Combine the dressing ingredients in a separate bowl and mix well. Pour over the top of the peas and spread to cover, bringing the dressing all the way out to the edges of the bowl. Sprinkle with fresh dill. Cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. Toss just before serving.

Refrigerate until set., In another bowl, dissolve lemon gelatin in boiling water. Beat cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth; stir into the lemon gelatin with the pineapple. Refrigerate until slightly thickened, about 2 hours., Fold the cream, marshmallows and pecans into cream cheese mixture. Spread over cranberry layer. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set.
