Pork Tenderloin Appetizer Sandwiches Recipe | MyRecipes image

1 (3/4-pound) pork tenderloin
½ cup Burgundy or other dry red wine
2 tablespoons olive oil
1?½ tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon dried thyme
¾ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon cumin seeds
¼ teaspoon pepper
? teaspoon garlic powder
? teaspoon ground cloves
¼ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup spicy brown mustard
Cocktail rolls

Steps:

  • Place tenderloin in a heavy-duty, zip-top plastic bag. Combine wine and next 8 ingredients; pour over tenderloin. Seal bag; marinate in refrigerator 8 hours, turning occasionally.
  • Remove tenderloin from marinade, reserving marinade. Place tenderloin on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Insert meat thermometer into thickest portion of tenderloin.
  • Bake at 425° for 30 to 35 minutes or until meat thermometer registers 160°, basting occasionally with marinade. Let meat stand 10 minutes.
  • Combine mayonnaise and mustard, stirring well. Cut tenderloin into 1/4" slices and serve with mayonnaise mixture on cocktail rolls.

Great appetizer! You can serve with fancy toothpicks or let your guests pick up the tenderloin with the spinach leaves. This appetizer is nice in that it is in the oven for a while so you can get other things done for your party. Prep time does not include marinating time!

2 (3/4 lb) - pork tenderloin
1/2 cup(s) dry sherry
1 tablespoon(s) soy sauce
1/2 cup(s) honey
1/2 cup(s) sesame seeds
1/3 cup(s) soy sauce
1 - green onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon(s) dry sherry
1 tablespoon(s) dark sesame oil
1 - garlic clove, crushed
1/2 teaspoon(s) gingerroot, peeled and grated
- fresh spinach leaves

Steps:

  • Place tenderloins in a large heavy duty, zip-top plastic bag.
  • Combine 1/2 cup sherry and 1 tbsp soy sauce. Pour the mixture over the tenderloins; seal the bag securely. Place the bag in a bowl; marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
  • Remove the tenderloins from the marinade, discarding the marinade. Brush the tenderloins with honey; roll in the sesame seeds.
  • Place on a rack in a roasting pan lined with heavy-duty aluminum foil. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part registers at 160 degrees.
  • Combine 1/3 cup soy sauce and the next 5 ingredients in a small serving bowl; stir well.
  • To serve, thinly slice the tenderloins and arrange on a spinach-lined serving platter. Serve with decorated toothpicks and the soy sauce mixture.
