- Dump tortilla chips out on a platter.
- In a medium fry pan, cook and break up the ground beef then add the taco seasoning and water as directed on seasoning.
- Heat beans and nacho cheese in the microwave.
- Scoop beans onto chips using an ice cream scoop.
- Spread ground beef over chips and beans.
- Pour hot nacho cheese over chips, beans, and beef.
- Sprinkle tomatoes over nachos.
- Top with sour cream and other optional garnishes. Serve and Enjoy!

- In 1-quart saucepan, combine soup and salsa; set aside.
- In 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat, cook beef and onion until beef is browned and onion is tender, stirring to separate meat.
- Spoon off fat.
- Add 1/2 cup soup mixture.
- Reduce heat to medium.
- Heat through, stirring occasionally.
- Over medium heat, heat remaining soup mixture, stirring occasionally.
- Arrange chips on large serving platter; top with meat mixture.
- Spoon soup mixture over meat.
- Top with tomato and pepper.

- Preheat oven to 425º and line a large baking sheet with foil. In a large skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook until soft, 5 minutes, then add ground beef and cook until no longer pink, 6 minutes more. Drain fat. Add garlic and taco seasoning and season with salt. Cook until meat is well browned and slightly crispy, 5 minutes more. Add refried beans and water to skillet and stir until combined. Add half the tortilla chips and top with beef-bean mixture, half the cheese, half the black beans, and half the pickled jalapeños. Repeat one more layer. Bake until cheese is melty, 15 minutes. Scatter with tomato, avocado, green onions, and cilantro. Drizzle with sour cream and hot sauce and serve immediately.

Menu Description: "Seasoned beef, refried beans and cheese." Marno McDermott was a successful Minneapolis restaurateur, opening a chain of Mexican restaurants in the seventies called Zapata's against the advice of skeptics who said he would never be able to sell Mexican food to the large population of Scandinavians in the area. Marno proved them wrong then, and once again in 1976, when he partnered with Max McGee, a former Green Bay Packer football player, to open the first Chi-Chi's in Richfield, Minnesota. The restaurant was built inside a deserted Kroger grocery store and became instantly famous for the intensely flavored and larger-than-usual portions of food. To keep volume high, Chi-Chi's designed a custom computer-driven system that clocks every aspect of service from the time each server enters an order to when the order is placed in front of the customers. Special attention was given to the design of the menu items as well, with each dish taking no more than nine minutes to prepare, even during the rush hours.
