We don’t know about you, but we are kind of in love with bacon. Here is a glorious mix of aromas and textures, featuring bacon, minced meat, chili peppers, and mozzarella cheese!

Number Of Ingredients 9

¼ cup vegetable oil
1 pound minced meat
½ cup spring onion
1 chili pepper
salt
pepper
16 bacon
8 ounces of shredded mozzarella

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F/220 degrees C.
  • Heat the vegetable oil in a cast-iron skillet to a medium high temperature.
  • Stir fry the minced meat until it turns brown.
  • Add the chopped spring onion and the chili pepper.
  • Stir everything for 2 minutes.
  • Take an oven pan and put slices of bacon on the bottom: 4 vertically and 8 horizontally.
  • Add half of the fried minced meat on them.
  • A layer with half of the mozzarella comes next. Then another layer of bacon, and the rest of the minced meat.
  • Top everything off with the last of the mozzarella cheese.
  • Cook in the oven for 20 minutes.

1 ts Fresh sage finely chopped, (optional)
50 g Back bacon chopped (2oz)
1 tb olive oil
1 Leek finely chopped
100 ml Half fat creme fraiche

Steps:

  • "Heat the oil in a frying pan over a moderate heat. Add the leek and bacon and cook for 4 minutes until the bacon is crispy and the leek is soft. Add the pork and cook for a further 6-8 minutes. Add seasoning to taste. Stir through the creme fraiche and the sage, re-season and serve. Notes: Serve with pasta or new potatoes and a green salad. NOTES : Suppertime fayre for busy families.This simple to prepare tasty meal is both economical and versatile.It could equally be made using turkey mince and other vegetables eg courgettes or peppers. "
