DIY taco seasoning for the win! Make just enough for tonight’s tasty taco creation, or double, triple or even quadruple the recipe to always have extra on hand. Like it spicy? Make it with McCormick® Crushed Red Pepper!

1
5 tsps paprika
1 1/4 tsps garlic powder
1 1/4 tsps cumin ground
1 1/4 tsps onion powder
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp oregano leaves
1 1/2 tsps sea salt from sea salt grinder
1 1/2 tsps corn starch
1 pound lean ground beef
3/4 cup water
12 taco shells

Steps:

  • Mix spices, herbs, salt and corn starch in small bowl until well blended. Set seasoning blend aside.
  • Brown meat in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat.
  • Stir in seasoning blend and water.
  • Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally. Spoon into warm taco shells. Serve with desired toppings, such as shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, salsa and sour cream.
