I got this recipe off the internet. A local Taqueria has the best taco's that are so simple but have so much flavor. I was looking for a marinade to make these taco's at home and this recipe is close to the taste of the taco's I get at the Taqueria.

3 cup(s) orange juice
1 - lime juiced
1 tablespoon(s) cumin
4 clove(s) garlic minced
1/4 cup(s) cilantro chopped
1 teaspoon(s) salt and pepper

Steps:

  • mix all ingredients for marinade together. Pour over meat and marinate overnight.
  • Best over beef or pork roast. Marinate overnight then place in slow cooker with marinade and cook on low 6 to 8 hours. Drain and shred meat for taco's

½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon celery salt
½ teaspoon ground cumin
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce, or more to taste

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Season beef with onion powder, garlic salt, celery salt, and cumin. Pour tomato sauce over the beef, stir to coat, and simmer until thickened, slightly, about 5 minutes.

I came up with this recipe (with some help from other 'zaars) which I believe is a pretty good copy cat. I used the marinade from recipe 103372 by Sharlene--W and modified the dressing recipe 195520 by --Miss Diggy*--.
