Steps:
- Stir together chopped eggs, sour cream, mayonnaise, and salt in a medium bowl. Lightly grease a 6-inch ring mold with cooking spray. Spoon egg mixture evenly on bottom of prepared ring mold. Top evenly with onion. Stir together cream cheese and chives in a bowl, and gently spread over onion; top with black caviar. Refrigerate 2 hours. Unmold onto a serving plate or platter, and serve with crackers.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Mix crushed gingersnap cookies, brown sugar, and butter together in a bowl until well-combined. Press gingersnap mixture into the bottom of a springform pan. Arrange whole gingersnap cookies upright around the border of the springform pan, pressing into the base so that they stand firmly.
- Bake in the preheated oven until set, about 7 minutes. Cool completely.
