Buffalo Chicken Pizza Recipe: How to Make It image

1 tube (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza crust
1 cup Buffalo wing sauce, divided
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1-1/2 cups part-skim shredded mozzarella cheese
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1/2 teaspoon each garlic salt, pepper and chili powder
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Celery sticks and blue cheese salad dressing

Steps:

  • Unroll pizza crust into a lightly greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan; flatten dough and build up edges slightly. Bake at 400° for 7 minutes. Brush dough with 3 tablespoons Buffalo wing sauce. Combine cheddar and mozzarella cheeses; sprinkle a third over the crust. Set aside., In a large skillet, cook the chicken, garlic salt, pepper and chili powder in butter until chicken is no longer pink. Add the remaining wing sauce; cook and stir over medium heat 5 minutes longer., Spoon over pizza. Sprinkle with oregano and remaining cheese., Bake until crust is golden brown and cheese is melted, 18-20 minutes. Serve with celery and blue cheese dressing.
    Freeze option: Bake pizza crust as directed; cool. Top with all the ingredients as directed and securely wrap and freeze unbaked pizza. To use, unwrap pizza; bake as directed, increasing time as necessary.

1 lb Ball of Fresh Pizza Dough
1 lb Thin Cut Chicken Breast
3 Tbsp of Unsalted Butter
? cup of Hot Sauce, I used Franks
About 2 Cups of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
1 Tbsp of Salt Free Steak Seasoning
1 Tbsp of Granulated Garlic
1 Tbsp of Italian Seasoning
Salt and Pepper, to taste
? cup of Blue Cheese Crumbles, optional

Steps:

  • 1) Preheat your oven to 450 degrees. 2) Preheat a large skillet between medium and medium high heat. 3) Add the butter and allow it to melt, add the chicken and cook it for 6 to 7 minutes or until mostly cooked through. 4) Season with some salt and pepper, add the hot sauce, turn the heat to high and let the mixture cook until the hot sauce thickens. 5) Roll your pizza dough into a 12? circle place it either on a pizza peel or an upside down baking sheet. 6) Scatter your chicken and hot sauce all over the top and sprinkle the mozzarella and blue cheese all over the chicken along with steak seasoning and granulated garlic. 7) Put the pizza in the oven either on your pizza stone or baking sheet and let it cook for about 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the bottom. 8) Slice and serve!

  • Preheat oven to 500°. Brush two large baking sheets with vegetable oil and sprinkle each with a layer of cornmeal. Place butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until melted, 20 to 30 seconds. Whisk in hot sauce and garlic powder until combined. Pour half of the buffalo sauce over chicken and toss to coat. On a lightly floured surface, shape each half of pizza dough into a round ball, then press down the center of each to create a 1/2" crust. With the dough resting on the back of your hands and your knuckles, gently stretch dough out with the help of gravity by moving your hands inch by inch along the crust. Transfer to prepared baking sheets. Add half of the remaining buffalo sauce to each pizza and spread all over the dough (leaving the outer 1" bare). Divide sauced chicken, torn mozzarella, blue cheese, and red onion evenly between the pizzas. Bake pizzas until crust is golden and cheese is melty, 15 to 17 minutes. Garnish with green onions and a drizzle of hot sauce (if using) and serve immediately.
