- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, stir together the soy sauce, honey, balsamic, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Place the salmon on an oiled bailing sheet, then brush about 1/2 the glaze over the salmon. Bake the salmon 5 minutes, the brush with more glaze. Bake another 5 minutes, then brush with any additional glaze. Continue to bake the salmon until it is just cooked through, about 5 minutes more. Serve sprinkled with sliced scallions.

Soy and honey baked salmon with wholegrain and quinoa rice and grains

Pre-heat the oven to 180°C and line a baking tray with tin foil. Also pre heat a large frying pan or griddle pan on a medium heat.
In a bowl mix together the honey and soy sauce to create a paste.
Place the salmon fillets onto the baking tray skin side down and then rub the soy and honey paste onto the salmon fillets slice a chilli length ways and then place one half on each of the salmon fillets. Put the salmon fillets into the oven and cook for 10-12 minutes.
Cook the rice pouch according to the instructions on the back of the packet.
In the pre heated pan add the 2 tsp of cooking oil and allow to heat up. Place the broccoli florets into the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes shaking the pan occasionally allowing the broccoli to gain a charred colour, Once there is a good colour all over the broccoli remove from the pan and set aside
Once the salmon is cooked serve up with a handful of the broccoli and half of the rice pouch and enjoy.

- Season the salmon with salt and pepper. Heat a little olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium to medium-high heat and place the salmon, skin side down (if you left the skin on) in the pan. Cook for 5 minutes on the first side, being careful not to burn the surface. Carefully flip to the other side and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove the salmon to a clean plate. In the same skillet, add the butter, honey, soy sauce, and juice from the 2 limes. (You can also zest in the lime before you juice it if you'd like.) Stir and cook over medium heat for a couple of minutes, until the glaze is thick. Taste and adjust the flavors, adding more of whatever you'd like. Cook if for another minute or two if you like the glaze very thick. Place the salmon back into the skillet and spoon the sauce all over the top. Stir together cooked rice with a little lime juice (and zest, if you'd like.) Serve the salmon over the rice, spooning on extra sauce. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro, add a lime wedge, and chow down.

- In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and red pepper flakes. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat two tablespoons oil. When oil is hot but not smoking, add salmon skin-side up and season with salt and pepper. Cook salmon until deeply golden, about 6 minutes, then flip over and add remaining tablespoon of oil. Add garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, 1 minute. Add the honey mixture and sliced lemons and cook until sauce is reduced by about 1/3. Baste salmon with the sauce.
