2 cups frozen cut green beans (about 8 ounces), thawed
1 garlic clove, minced
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 to 2 teaspoons sugar or honey
Sesame seeds, optional

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add green beans; cook and stir until heated through. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer. Stir in soy sauce and sugar until sugar is dissolved. If desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds.

? teaspoon pepper
¼ cup slivered almonds, toasted

Steps:

  • Cook green beans in boiling water 4 to 6 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain. Plunge into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain.
  • Sauté green onions, garlic, and ginger in hot sesame oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat 1 minute. Add green beans and bell pepper; cook 1 minute. Add oyster sauce and pepper, stirring until thoroughly heated. Sprinkle with almonds.
